An expectant Parents Story

Myself and my wife are expecting our first baby in about 3 weeks time and the baby has Down Syndrome. I started writing a blog in April this year to document how I and my wife were feeling etc and I have now written 3 articles. I am continuing to add to this blog as the weeks tick by and have published the link to my family and friends (via Facebook and word of mouth) to increase the level of awareness around Down Syndrome.

I hope it will help anyone in the same situation as ourselves who receive the diagnosis pre-natally. I also hope to maintain the blog throughout the early months/years of the little one's life, if I can use it to improve understanding amongst my peers then I think its all the better for everyone so feel free to use my posts as you wish. Myself and my wife Michelle look forward to becoming a part of the community.
